Each of these Jefferson Coins is struck with a different portrait of our third
President including the original portrait which appeared on the 1938-2004 nickel
as well as new portraits appearing on the 2005 and 2006 nickels. The colorized
portraits also depict symbols of his life, such as the Declaration of
Independence which he wrote and his famous home, Monticello, which he designed
himself. Each coin is encased in a clear plastic holder with both sides visible.
