A little history.
Hifi.com's parent company, Cambridge SoundWorks started as an inventive
speaker manufacturer over 14 years ago. The company then formed its catalog
business, evolved into its chain of retail stores, and would become one of the
first companies to sell consumer electronics on the Internet via the Hifi.com
URL. (Historical note: Hifi.com sold its first subwoofer in 1994 via the
Compuserve network. Amazon.com sold its first book online in July 1995.)
